Geetanjali is a journey through the soul of Malayalam language. Popular songs (film/poetry/folk) would be used a medium to invoke appreciation of literature among young minds. Study of language, especially grammar, is often considered as a dull exercise. A group of language enthusiasts are applying GrainEd pedagogic methodology of “known to unknown” to overcome this dilemma. A song is a culmination of many attributes - cultural contexts, social scenarios, musical attributes, poet’s imaginations, contextual rendering, possibilities of language and many more. And often a powerful medium to introduce these attributes to students.
