You, Society and Law is a series of independent sessions organised by GrainEd to provide adolescents with a preliminary idea of certain aspects of the law. The session on Understanding Punishment covers the definition, types, scope and purpose of punishment in a legal context. This aims to enable the audience to appreciate the evolution and rationale of various punishments meted out by the States.
